Privacy Policy

The short version: there is no Heap Happens account. Your towers, scores and settings stay on your phone. The free version shows ads from Google, and we never ask to track you across other apps. The Foreman's Pass turns every ad off. We never sell your data.
What the game keeps on your phone
Heap Happens saves your best score, run history, daily results and streak, unlocked objects and sites, hard hats, and settings on your iPhone or iPad only. We do not receive this data. Your device's own backup (for example iCloud Backup) may include it, under Apple's terms. Deleting the app removes it; Settings also has a Reset progress option that keeps your purchases.
Ads (free version only)
The free game shows one small banner on the menus and an optional video you can choose to watch for a rescue. These ads come from Google AdMob. To show ads and count them, Google's software on your phone collects information such as ad interactions, a rough location from your IP address, performance and crash data, and a device identifier that is not your Apple advertising ID. Heap Happens never asks for permission to track you across other companies' apps, so your Apple advertising ID is not available to the app or to Google. We ask Google to show only ads suitable for a general audience.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent screen asks for your choice before any ad loads. You can pick Consent, Do not consent or Manage options, and change it later in the game's Settings under Ad privacy choices. Google's privacy policy explains how Google uses this data: policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Buying the Foreman's Pass removes every ad, so the ad software stops requesting ads for you.
Purchases
The Foreman's Pass and Hard Hat packs are bought through Apple. The game reads Apple's verified purchase record to unlock them. We never receive your name, card number or payment details.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center so they can appear on leaderboards. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy; we see only what Game Center shows every player, such as your nickname and score.
Things that happen only when you choose
- Daily reminder. If you turn it on and allow notifications, the reminder is scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved.
- Sharing. The Share button makes a picture of your tower. You pick where it goes; that app has its own privacy rules.
- Feedback. "Help shape Heap Happens" sends the note you write to PLAYRIOT, with the app version and a random ID that lets us group your notes (it is not linked to your name). A screenshot and your email address are sent only if you add them, and your email is used only to tell you when your note is answered or fixed.
Children
Heap Happens is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads are limited to content suitable for a general audience, and parents can remove all ads with the Foreman's Pass.
Your choices
- Change ad consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Limit ads on your iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Remove all ads: the Foreman's Pass.
- Delete your game data: Settings → Reset progress, or delete the app.
- Ask about or delete feedback you sent: email us below.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
